Rule 56
Work, Duties and Powers of the Head of the Central Bureau of Investigation
The work, duties and powers of the Head of the Central Bureau of Investigation within his area of ​​responsibility shall be as follows:-
(a) Among the crimes to be investigated by the concerned police office according to schedule-1 of the Governmental Cases Act, 2049, heinous, organized, or serious violation of public interest or multinational nature or human rights, or economic, high-tech heinous and extreme from the point of view of national interest or concern. Investigate crimes designated by the Inspector General of Police in relation to crimes of a nature of national concern and interest.
(b) If it falls within the jurisdiction of a police office, if the relevant police office sends a request to the police head office that the investigation of such crime would be more effective, investigate the crimes specified by the inspector general of police on the recommendation of the head of the crime investigation department of the police head office,
(c) To provide necessary assistance in case of request for necessary assistance from other offices for the purpose of criminal investigation,
(d) Complying with or causing instructions given by the Taluk Office and performing or causing other actions as specified by prevailing laws.
